I am going to buy a 60 gb ps3 and when I do i want to get the old guitar hero games.?

I know that pelican has a converter for old ps2 games for ps3, but it has problems and doesn't really work good with guitar hero 2. does anyone know of a converter that I can use that has good response time and will let me play guitar hero for ps2 games with an old guitar rather than letting me play guitar hero for ps3 games with an old guitar? If so can you tell me the name of the converter so i can try to get one? thanks
