If a landlord refuses to fix anything.............?

I already know I can put my rent in escrow with the court, and/or submit receipts with rent money to landlord/court and fix it myself......but what if after following all the rules and doing things right, the landlord - or the city codes enforcer - sneakily arrange demolition of the property and line 8 turquoise dumpers along your street WITHOUT POSTING ANY NOTICES OF ANY KIND?! Are there lawyers local to me who will help me sue the responsible party/parties?
