Rainmaker hoof polish quick question! 10 pts! =)?

i just bought rainmaker hoof polish and when i opened the can it seemed kinda glunky and thick..is it normally so glunky and thick? (sry thats the only way i can describe it lol) or could it be possible the people who shipped it kept it in a hot/cold truck for too long and made it congealed? would it still work if this is the case? thanks!
