Burning smell coming from new car?

I don't know what you meant by "the throttle has been kind of rough" Did you mean the engine does not respond accordingly when pressing the gas pedal? Also you said the engine was running hot, abnormally hot? Might be prudent to do a good visual inspection of the engine compartment and/or the tires. When you get to the Acura shop, try to give them as much specifics about the problem as you can. I hope you get an honest and reliable Acura auto shop.
