Why are religious people so anti-?

I believe that back when the bible was written they had to put that in there because was to make babies and there were no birth controls or condoms and they didnt want people gettin pregnant left right and center. Also spreads std's. Parents are probably mostly afraid of there kids getting pregnant and diseased. Also some people just believe in the bible and follow what is written in it.
